PRP THERAPY FOR THINNING HAIR
We are excited to introduce you to Butter Beauty Parlour's latest service offering - Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy! PRP is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment used for a number of conditions, most notably hair rejuvenation. PRP helps to stimulate the activity of hair follicles and promotes new hair growth, reducing signs of thinning hair and hair loss. It can also be used to promote overall skin health and new collagen formation, resulting in younger-looking, smoother skin. Best of all, the procedure is a quick 30 minutes with no recovery downtime required.
HOW IT WORKS:
PRP Therapy involves taking a small sample of the patient's blood and separating the platelets from other components of the blood. The concentrated platelets are then injected back into the patient's body, where they release growth factors that promote healing and regeneration of damaged tissues. It is a safe and minimally invasive procedure that has been shown to produce excellent results.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Because the treatment relies on the body's natural ability to stimulate collagen growth, a typical treatment plan would look as follows:
Three 30 minute sessions spaced approximately four weeks apart
A booster session approximately 3 months later
Ongoing yearly (1 to 3 sessions per year)

Dr. Astrid McLean has been a practicing physician for 22 years. Her passion for medical aesthetics began in 2017. In 2022, she became a head instructor and medical director at the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics (CAMA), teaching and sharing her passion with other medical aesthetic professionals. She has gained her extensive expertise in the industry by investing in her own training + attending conferences internationally.
